Childbirth Educator & Doula Certifications & Memberships

Birth Doula Training Course

 

· Must Observe a Childbirth Education class (at least six sessions of 2 1/5 hours)*

· Complete the Doula Training class (five sessions of  5 hours each) - $300.00

· Complete and Pass a written exam

· Complete required reading list and give summary of 5 items on the reading list

As a Supported Birth Doula you will provide continuous emotional and physical support during active labor.  You will utilize labor positioning, massage, aromatherapy, music and relaxation (just to name a few) to assist the birthing woman to have the experience she desires.    You will be able to support all methods of birthing in any setting.

 

You will receive a Doula workbook that will have lots of reference materials for use with your clients in the future.  You will be provided with ideas and samples to get your business started and a listing on our website.  You will receive continued support and networking from Supported Birth and access to our extended lending library.  Upon completion you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Supported Birth Doula training.

 

*You do not have to attend a Supported Birth of Arizona class.  It can be any class that meets the course requirements.  Classes attended while pregnant do not count, this must be for observation only.

Childbirth Educator Training Course

As a Supported Birth Instructor you will be teaching couples to make conscious choices about the birth of their baby.  You will provide them knowledge and understanding of the birthing process and assist them in gaining the confidence to trust in the woman’s body

 

You will receive a complete Teacher’s Manual and a sample class manual that you can purchase for use in your classes or use the outline to create your own.  Continued support and networking from Supported Birth and access to our extended lending library.  Upon completion you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Supported Birth Education and Teacher Training.

Supported Birth Memberships and Contract Outline

Benefits – Supported Birth of Arizona advertising will be throughout the Valley and this gives an opportunity for you to take advantage of this advertising.  Supported Birth of Arizona will be available for questions, concerns and general support via phone, email and support groups.

 

Childbirth Educators – Supported Birth of Arizona certified or other approved certifications will be listed on website with your class information and area served

 

Doulas – Supported Birth of Arizona certified or other approved certifications will be listed on website with your services information and area served

 

 

 

Contracted Members                                                                                    10% of the contract fee

 

Benefits -  Supported Birth of Arizona advertising will be throughout the Valley which will save you hundreds in advertising every year.  You will be able to start your business or grow your business utilizing all of our experience, research and dedication to the birthing community.

 

Childbirth Educators -  Supported Birth of Arizona certified instructors* will be listed on the website.  They will have access to our teaching manuals, business cards, business forms, lending library and assistance in getting their business started.  They will have continuous support from all of Supported Birth of Arizona along with support groups and monthly meetings to assist in growing and improving your business.

 

Doulas -  Supported Birth of Arizona certified doulas* will be listed on the website.  They will have access to our vast collection of research material, forms, business cards, lending library and assistance in getting their business started.  They will have continuous support from all of Supported Birth of Arizona along with support groups and monthly meetings to assist in growing and improving your business.

 

 

*CCBE’s and CBD’s who are already certified with an approved agency can obtain Supported Birth of Arizona certification at a reduced rate and with a shorter class schedule.
